As part of its eighth edition, the Green India Challenge planted 2,000 mangrove saplings in the Sundarbans to strengthen coastal resilience and biodiversity. The initiative, supported by Purbasha Eco Helpline Society and Igniting Minds, also pledged 1 lakh trees across India.

Santosh Kumar commended the school's dedication to fostering greenery and sustainability and expressed his excitement on Twitter, describing the day as 'phenomenal'.

Sarpanch Gadge Meenakshi said that the villagers from all walks of life accepted the challenge and voluntarily took part in the initiative by planting 20,000 saplings in a 10 acre piece of land located in Brihit Palle Prakruthi Vanam.

Naveena appealed to people that everyone should plant trees to offer oxygen to future generations and for making the country green and clean.
