This comes a day after a Delhi court turned down the application moved by incarcerated Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal seeking permission to consult a private doctor.

A Bench headed by Chief Justice of India (CJI) D.Y. Chandrachud instructed senior advocate Abhishek Manu Singhvi, representing CM Kejriwal, to send an email after he mentioned the matter for urgent hearing.

He also warned the AAP leaders against inviting contempt of court as the Delhi excise policy case, in connection with which Kejriwal was arrested, is pending in court.
