Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal faces two new summons from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the Delhi excise policy case and the Delhi Jal Board (DJB) meter case.

On February 27, the ED had issued eighth summons to appear before it on March 4 to CM Kejriwal after he skipped seventh summons issued on February 22. Earlier, on February 19, the CM skipped the ED's sixth summon.

Rai said the Congress should also declare its candidates quickly to facilitate a unified campaign by the INDIA bloc.

The case stems from ED summons related to the Delhi Excise Policy, which AAP claims are not legally valid.

Kejriwal appeared before the court following a summons issued to him by the court based on two ED complaints in connection with the Delhi Excise Policy case

Earlier on February 27, The Directorate of Enforcement (ED) issued an eighth summons to Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering probe related to irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy 2021-22 case, asking him to join the investigation on March 4.

The Centre is suffering from anti-Punjab syndrome due to which they need to be taught a lesson, he said, and slammed the Union government for creating "obstacles" in the smooth functioning of the non-BJP ruled states.

After ED moved the Delhi court against non-compliance of summons on February 17, Kejriwal appeared before the Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Divya Malhotra of Rouse Avenue Court through video conferencing.

The sources added that he will participate in the hearing through video conferencing.
