Kavitha convened a meeting with Telangana Jagruthi leaders and key activists at her residence on Friday, in this regard. She reminded that Telangana Jagruthi previously organised round-table meetings across all districts to gather inputs on the caste census and the need to increase reservations for BCs in local bodies.
Speaking to the media, he stated that the government had established a dedicated commission to determine the percentage of reservations for various BC communities in local bodies, and the commission is actively working toward finalizing the quotas.
People belonging to Pichakuntla, Dommari, Reddygandla and others wanted the commission to change their caste name since they and their children were feeling shy to tell their caste name to others.
