Education department officials are planning to introduce the biogas plants in 73 schools in rural parts and 17 in urban areas of Mancherial in a couple of months
IT Minister KT Rama Rao will inaugurate the plant on Tuesday. In order to protect the environment and reduce dependence on foreign sources of energy, the Vemulawada municipality developed the biogas plant to generate electricity by utilizing cattle dung.
The aim of this plant is to treat 5 ton per day of market vegetable waste for the generation of biogas based electricity and biomanure, says IICT Director.
