Former Andole MLA Chanti Kranthi accused the Congress government of discrimination in releasing Singur project water. Farmers in the constituency are facing severe irrigation issues, leading to crop losses, with demands raised for compensation and immediate government intervention.
Three students suffered minor injuries and over 70 others escaped unhurt after a section of a dilapidated school-cum-junior college building collapsed in Lingampally, Sangareddy district. The collapse occurred during the day, averting a major tragedy, as students typically sleep in the affected room at night.
Kranthi Kiran said the farmers were trying it difficult to save paddy nurseries while the rest were contemplating whether to go for paddy transplantation and demanded that the irrigation department release water from the left canal of the Singur project.
Standing in the queue was not all. As the farmers managed to reach the counter at the Agros Rythu Seva Kendra, the staff told them that stocks were over.
