The Sub-Committee on the Comprehensive Development of the Film Industry has decided to establish a single-window clearance system for filmmakers.

However, the order noted that multiplexes and theatres located in commercial establishments will not be allowed to collect parking fees.

The shoots will be carried out with a maximum of 50 workers duly following necessary precautions

In a statement, the Minister made it clear that the government did not take any decision to close the cinema halls or halt the shootings.

The filmmaker also feels that OTT platforms should not be a reason of insecurity for cinema theatres because the two can easily coexist.
