Mild tension prevailed during a dharna staged by the Congress after party activists thrashed a person in Jagtial town on Monday.

Following an argument, the Congress leaders set the bike of a TRS worker on fire.

The yatra commenced from Kali Talai in Jhalrapatan in Jhalawar.

"My name is neither in the voter list nor in the deleted list. My wife has voted. Officials are checking it," said the Delhi Congress president who arrived at a polling booth in Dallupura to cast his vote.

Congress leader Ajay Maken urged people to see the candidates and vote accordingly after casting his vote at a polling booth in Rajouri Garden for the Municipal Corporation of Delhi elections.

On the second day of the yatra's Madhya Pradesh leg, Rahul Gandhi started the foot march from Borgaon in Khandwa district.

It also appointed four working presidents of the state unit -- Mastan Vali, Janga Goutham, Padmasree Sunkara and P Rakesh Reddy.

The yatra today resumed after a two-day break from Boderli village in the Burhanpur district of Madhya Pradesh.

Bharat Jodo Yatra is currently in its Maharashtra leg. Before entering Maharashtra, the Yatra has already covered parts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana.
