Government employees, pensioners and others staged protests across Telangana demanding abolition of the Contributory Pension Scheme and restoration of the Old Pension System. They also sought constitution of the Pay Revision Commission, pending DA instalments and clearance of bills.
BRSLP deputy leader T Harish Rao demanded the release of six pending DAs, implementation of the PRC and settlement of retirement benefits for government employees. Addressing TNGOs at Hanamkonda Collectorate, he accused the Congress government of neglecting employees.
Teachers’ union TPUS urged the Telangana government to implement pending pay revisions, clear allowances, abolish the contributory pension scheme, and address infrastructure and service-related issues.
