Teachers’ Union demands PRC, fitment and DAs release
Teachers’ union TPUS urged the Telangana government to implement pending pay revisions, clear allowances, abolish the contributory pension scheme, and address infrastructure and service-related issues.

Hyderabad: Telangana Prantha Upadhyaya Sangam (TPUS) on Friday demanded the State government obtain the Pay Revision Committee report and announce a fitment. They also demanded the government issue orders, clearing pending DAs (Dearness Allowances) and other pending bills at the earliest.
TPUS president Vadnala Rajashekhar and general secretary Telkalapalli Pentayya who met Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu here, wanted implementation of the GO 190, which provides relief to teachers affected by GO 317, by the Education department.
Teachers also raised issues such as the Contributory Pension Scheme abolition mentioned in the Congress party manifesto during the last assembly elections. In line with the Central government circular, they sought an old pension scheme extension to employees and teachers appointed after 2004.
Improvement of infrastructure in schools, employee health scheme implementation, regulation of KGBV women teachers, payment of Model School teachers salaries via 010 budget head and release of an annual calendar for promotions and transfers of teachers in the Education department were among other demands.
The Deputy Chief Minister, according to teachers, assured to discuss these issues with the Cabinet Sub-Committee and the Chief Minister, and a positive decision would be taken within a week.
