Woman farmer Beduru Girija said many farmers like her would benefit from the crop loan waiver.

Celebrations organized by BRS leaders witnessed large gatherings where farmers participated and conducted 'palabhishekam' to the Chief Minister's portrait.

Agriculture Minister S Niranjan Reddy said the entire loan waiver amount would be deposited into the accounts of 6.08 lakh farmers by August 30.

About nine lakh farmers will be relieved from the loan burden.

Indrakaran Reddy laid the foundation stone for the integrated market in Bhainsa on Thursday along with the Mudhole MLA G Vittal Reddy.

The State government is all set to give an impetus to the Agriculture sector with emphasis on modern cultivation methods, farm mechanisation and market-driven production.

Finance Minister T Harish Rao, presenting the budget in the State Assembly on Thursday, said farms loans that did not exceed Rs 25,000 had already been waived.

"The RBI report also stated that about 95 per cent of the beneficiaries of crop loan waiver scheme were marginal and small farmers."
