Hyderabad is experiencing a hot and muggy spell despite rain in parts of the city. The IMD expects temperatures to remain around 32-33°C with high humidity through September 12, while thunderstorms and isolated showers are forecast across parts of Telangana.
After brief overnight thundershowers brought temporary relief, Hyderabad and northern Telangana continued to reel under soaring temperatures, with several districts recording highs above 42°C.
Telangana is set to experience a volatile weather pattern over the coming week, with maximum temperatures rising to 44°C alongside recurring thunderstorms. The IMD has issued warnings for lightning, gusty winds, and thundershowers across multiple districts until May 1, 2026.
The night time minimum temperatures are dropping to single digits, while maximum day time temperatures are soaring between 37 degree Celsius and 34 degree Celsius
The maximum temperature on Wednesday was 30.5 degree Celsius, which is 1.7 degree Celsius above normal while the minimum temperature was 0.9 degree Celsius below normal at 13.8 degree Celsius.
