Hyderabad’s Task Force (Charminar), with local police, arrested seven members of an interstate drug gang near MGBS, Afzalgunj, seizing 23 kg of marijuana worth Rs 16 lakh. Police said the drugs were sourced from Odisha and distributed in the city.

Officials seized 8 kgs of marijuana worth Rs 2.4 lakh

According to police officials, the arrested were identified as Arun Kumar and Dipak Kumar, both rag pickers from Banda district of Uttar Pradesh

The arrested persons are identified as Rohith Macha (19) from Odisha; B.Durga Prasad (21) from Kukatpally; P.Omesh (24), from Yapral.

The arrested persons were G.Shiva Reddy (34), an agricultural trader and A.Hanimi Reddy (29), a businessman, both from Gurajala in Palnadu of AP.
