BRS minority leader Mukheed Chanda criticised the Congress government over alleged suicides and food poisoning in TMREIS schools. He accused the government of neglecting students from poor families and announced a fact-finding visit by party leaders.
Apart from seeking a report into the incidents, in a recent letter sent to School Education Director EV Narasimha Reddy, the NCPCR wanted the government to investigate the matter and take necessary action
He lambasted the State government over the hospitalisation of 15 students from a tribal girls hostel at Tandur in Vikarabad district in a fresh incident of food poisoning on Tuesday, just 10 days after a similar incident in the erstwhile Mahabubnagar district.
"Congress leaders should be ashamed to blame BRS for repeated incidents of food poisoning across the State. They are behaving as if the BRS is in power and they are in opposition, by coming up weird conspiracy theories to deflect the blame," he said, adding that such blaming would only project the Congress rule in a poor light.
Despite repeated food poisoning cases, the government's approach remains unchanged. In less than 24 hours after 12 students from tribal welfare schools at Mancherial were hospitalised, more students were rushed to hospitals with vomiting and stomach pain, said the BRS MLA
