Two residential school students fall sick after dinner in Telangana’s Nagarkurnool
The Class VII students of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Residential School shifted to private hospital

NAGARKURNOOL: Despite assurances of the State government, food poisoning cases continue to occur at different residential schools. Two students of the Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Residential School, Telkapally mandal in the district, fell sick after consuming contaminated food.
The Class VII students complained of stomach ache after dinner and immediately the school staff shifted them to a private hospital. After examining the students, the doctors said that one student, Chandana, was critical as she was unable to breath while the other student was stable, according to reports.
The school was being operated in a rented building and lacked sufficient facilities. More so, the school was to be set up at Tandur but was being operated from a rented building.
While parents complained that their wards had fallen sick due to food poisoning, school principal Rashmi claimed that it was not the case and there was no food poisoning. District officials visited the school and are investigating. More details are awaited.
