Sangareddy: The Patancheru assembly constituency, which is located close to Hyderabad, is likely to have five new municipalities by the time the next elections are conducted. Interestingly, there won’t be any grama panchayats left in the constituency if the proposals of the officials materialise.
The constituency already has three GHMC divisions – Bharathi Nagar, Patancheru and RC Puram, and three municipalities in IDA Bollaram, Tellapur and Ameenpur. Recently, the municipal administration issued a gazette notification merging some villages located with the three municipalities close to them. Officials are also studying the possibility of creating Isnapur, Indresham, Bhanur, Gaddapotharam and Gummadidala municipalities in the constituency by merging the villages close to them. Since industries were spread all over the constituency, Patancheru was almost urbanised.
While the Isnpaur municipality will have Isnapur, Chitkul, Rudraram, Lakdaram and Pashamylaram villages, the Indresham municipality will have Indresham, Rameshwara banda, Inole, Chinna Kanjerla and Pedda Kanjerla villages. The Bhanur municipality will have the neighbouring Nandigama and Kysaram villages. While the Gummadidala municipality will have Annaram, Bonthapally, Veerannagudem, Domadugu, and Mambapur, the Gaddapotharam municipality will have Vavilala, Lakshmipathigudem, Madharam, Khajipally, and Naltur villages.
