The Telangana Teaching Government Doctors Association (TTGDA) has urged the State government to address long-pending demands, including peripheral medical college allowances, a special transfer policy, and retirement benefits.
In the past two to three years, Telangana State has seen a significant increase in government teaching hospitals. From 2022 to 2025, a total of 27 government medical colleges have been established, creating a need for faculty positions. Of the 16,024 total posts, 4,013 will be filled on a contract basis, 9,684 on an outsourcing basis, approximately 2,322 on an honorarium basis, and 5 on an MTS basis.
