The Telangana High Court has suspended a single judge’s order that had set aside Group-1 Mains results and directed revaluation. The Division Bench allowed the Telangana Public Service Commission to proceed with recruitments, subject to the final outcome of writ appeals.
The Telangana High Court will hear a batch of 15 appeals on Wednesday challenging a single judge’s verdict that annulled the Group-1 Mains results and ordered revaluation of answer sheets.
BRS MLC Dasoju Sravan has called for the cancellation of the Group-1 Main exam and withdrawal of GO 29, citing serious irregularities and systemic bias against Telugu-medium candidates. He demanded a judicial inquiry and a special Assembly session to address the issue.
The Telangana High Court set aside TGPSC Group-1 Mains results, citing “glaring lapses” in evaluation. Justice Namavarapu Rajeshwar Rao directed the Telangana Public Service Commission (TGPSC) to re-evaluate all answer scripts within eight months and warned of a full re-exam if irregularities recur. Postings to 563 vacancies have been put on hold.
