Amaravati: Andhra Pradesh recorded 5,529 recoveries and 3,676 new coronavirus positive cases, while 24 fatalities were reported in the 24 hours ending 9 am on Saturday. According to the media bulletin, the total cases in the state increased to 7,55,72 which includes 46,295 active cases.

With the new additions, the southern state's tally rose to 7,50,517 cases.

Meanwhile, 31 more patients succumbed to the virus, raising the statewide Covid death toll to 6,159.

Beating East Godavari district, Chittoor logged the highest number of infections at 784 cases, increasing the district's tally to exactly 60,000.

According to the media bulletin by state nodal officer, the total count of cases in the state has risen to 7,34,427 while active cases are 49,513.

Out of the total cases, there are 50,776 active cases in the state, while in the last 24 hours, 6,046 patients have recovered from the infection
