The protest was organized under the banner of the Telangana Sarpanches Association Joint Action Committee. Taking advantage of the Prajavani programme being held at Praja Bhavan, the committee members arrived at the venue to present yet another appeal to the government.
The Collector, who reviewed the status of Dharani applications in the district, said a time frame had been fixed to clear pending applications at the levels of Tehsildar and Revenue Divisional Officer, which had to be followed strictly
Though there was no official announcement about the programme, just like on Friday, several people, including differently-abled persons and women, turned up in large numbers at the Praja Bhavan.
