Crops like maize, soybean, cotton, ginger and others on over 5,200 acres were damaged in Sangareddy district alone after primary estimation, while Siddipet recorded crop loss on 4,200 acres.

BRS MLA said the Congress government had put many conditions to exclude many farmers from beneficiaries list so that it would restrict the burden on State's exchequer.

The villagers said that the government was preparing to acquire fertile lands on which they were earning livelihood by cultivating different crops.
