In a statement, Rama Rao highlighted the tragic case of farmer Surender Reddy from Medchal, who took his own life after being unable to secure a loan waiver despite repeated visits to banks and government offices.

Taking to X on Thursday, Rama Rao questioned the need for prioritising Hindi over other regional languages. "Why exactly do we need increased Hindi acceptance, Amit Shah Ji? Why not promote Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Bengali, Marathi, Oriya, Gujarati, and others?" he asked.

Rama Rao said that due to the government not taking measures to prevent mosquitoes, gross failure in sanitation management and not providing clean fresh water, people were suffering from multiple kinds of diseases.

He raised concern over an alarming rise in viral fevers and questioned the silence of Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy even as students are being neglected in numerous incidents.

"Such a shame that the Revanth Reddy government resorts to filing FIR on protestors who stood bravely in front of your draconian bulldozer government. Where does this undemocratic system stop? How low will you stoop?" he asked.
