Hyderabad Runners highlighted the success of its Project Champion initiative, with students reaching Khelo India level, at its annual awards night. The event also honoured inspiring runners and announced strong participation expected for the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon 2027
Ethiopian elite runners visited Nachiketa Tapovan, inspiring children with stories of perseverance. Nachiketa Tapovan raised Rs 12 lakh, supporting education for underprivileged communities through strong collaborations and community donations.
The NMDC Hyderabad Marathon, India’s second-largest marathon and a World Athletics Label Race, will be held on August 24 with record participation of 28,000 runners. Nikhat Zareen unveiled the event jersey, as organizers target Rs 3 crore in charity contributions.
Over 1,000 runners took part in the NMDC Heritage Run 2025 in Hyderabad, celebrating fitness and social awareness ahead of the NMDC Hyderabad Marathon, with strong NGO participation and community support
Organised by the Hyderabad Runners Society, the marathon is supported by NMDC as the Title Sponsor, IDFC FIRST Bank as the Associate Sponsor, ASICS as the Sports Goods Partner, and Apollo Hospitals as the Medical Partner
This year’s NMDC Hyderabad Marathon will see over 25,500 participants, including runners from across India and 17 countries, making it as one of the most prestigious city marathons.
