From carrying oxygen cylinders to enduring unhygienic conditions and non-functional facilities, the situation has sparked public outrage. Despite prior warnings from district authorities, little has improved on the ground.
A 46-year-old man from Siddipet died en route to the hospital, with his family alleging the 108 ambulance lacked oxygen. A rasta roko was held outside the government hospital, though ambulance staff claimed oxygen was provided.
The incident took place at the Dr Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences when the regulator of an oxygen cylinder exploded due to pressure. The victim suffered minor injuries in his hand.
