Civil and restoration works at Hyderabad’s Paigah Palace are underway as HMDA prepares to shift offices to Begumpet. Two new conference halls and additional floors are being added while preserving the heritage building, with completion expected by April–May.
The HMDA’s proposed shift to Paigah Palace in Begumpet has been delayed due to complex restoration and conservation challenges. Extensive renovation is required to preserve the heritage structure, with costs estimated at Rs 2–3 crore and timelines likely to be revised.

HMDA is currently operating from three offices - the head office at Swarnajayanthi Complex in Ameerpet, the HGCL office at Nanakramguda, and the Buddha Purnima Project from an office near Tank Bund.
The list also includes cosmetics, sealed envelopes or packages, flammable items, sharp objects, weapons, long-handled umbrellas, and powders of any kind, including religious-related powders or spices.
