The Telangana Congress accused the Opposition BRS of boycotting the Assembly session to avoid scrutiny of its failures and irregularities. Tourism Minister Jupally Krishna Rao alleged that BRS was unwilling to respond to questions on the allocation of Krishna river waters under the Palamuru-Rangareddy project.
BRS leader Kyama Mallesh accused Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy of neglecting the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme and betraying Telangana’s interests. He said the Congress government failed to complete pending works despite promises.
Listing out the measures initiated by the Congress government for the welfare of the farming community, the Chief Minister said within one year, farmers’ crop loans of upto Rs.2 lakh were waived by spending Rs.21,000 crore.
BRS leader criticized Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy for not understanding the facts and continuing to criticize Chandrashekhar Rao, which he said only made people laugh.
