Sirichandana honoured for winning medals in Asian Sub-Junior and Junior Powerlifting Championship, Asian University Powerlifting Cup

Participating in the 52 kg category, Sirichandana secured third place by lifting 330 kg

A powerlifter from Karimnagar, Thudi Sirichandana won a silver medal in 41st Federation Cup Powerlifting Championship-2024 held in Karnail Singh stadium in New Delhi from December 16 to 19.

Hailing from Mahabubabad, Warangal, Sukanya lifted a total of 135 kg, claiming the top spot in the women’s 76kg category.

A resident of Marrigadda of Gangadhara mandal, Sirichandana won a number of medals by participating in state and national level events.

Sirichandana managed to win gold medal in the seniors 52 kg category in the Telangana State Level Sub-Junior and Senior Classic Powerlifting championship held in Sangareddy on March 9 and 10. Besides the gold medal, she also won the Strong Woman title with her excellent performance in the entire event.

Tanush, a student of Sreenidhi International School, Hyderabad dominated the tournament to secure golds in bench press 65 kg, deadlift 125 kg and squat 85 kg events.
