The GHMC Commissioner, RV Karnan, held a meeting with Defence officials, including Brigadier SK Chetty, to expedite the transfer of Defence land for the construction of two key alternative roads connecting Safilguda Level Crossing to Entrenchment Road and RK Puram Road Over Bridge.

To ease traffic snarls at the crossing, approximately an RoB stretching over a kilometre was sanctioned at an estimated cost of Rs.30 crore in 2016.
