Telangana Rythu Sangham workers staged a protest in Khammam against reduced funding for the Sitarama Lift Irrigation Project, demanding higher allocation, compensation for displaced families and immediate steps to ensure the project’s timely completion.
Telangana Rythu Sangham district secretary Bonthu Rambabu demanded an end to app-based urea booking, citing difficulties faced by farmers. He urged village-level distribution and action against black marketing and forced sale of fertilisers.
