  • Telangana caste survey shows 135 communities more backward than state average

    An expert group led by Justice B Sudershan Reddy analysed the Telangana caste survey (SEEEPC 2024) and found that 135 of 242 castes are more backward than the state’s average Comprehensive Backwardness Index score of 81. Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes are three times more backward than General Castes, while Backward Classes are 2.7 times more backward.
