A hidden family murder in Karnataka’s Santebasavanahalli surfaced after a father’s death, revealing he allegedly killed his son in 2022 over financial disputes and buried him in a percolation pit. Police exhumed skeletal remains and launched further investigations.
According to the police, Chandrakala lived with her son Prakash (35), an agricultural laborer, along with other family members. Prakash was addicted to alcohol and frequently argued with his mother over minor issues.
On Thursday night, Srikanth returned home in an intoxicated state and got into an argument with his father. Later, while Srikanth was in a deep sleep, his father attacked him with a knife.
A local court on Friday sentenced a man to death and his friend to life imprisonment in the murder case of his wife, her friend and his two children including an unborn baby by setting them on fire which was reported in Narayanaguda in 2022.
The individuals involved were Nalla Lakshmi (20) and her 11-month-old son, Pranay. Her husband, Sai Kumar (20), who works in a private industry, reported that they had an argument over a minor issue on Wednesday, after which she left home. He filed a complaint when she did not return.
