R. Venu Gopal, managing partner of a Karimnagar-based medical agency, was arrested for allegedly selling counterfeit Levipil 500 tablets falsely labelled as Sun Pharma products. The DCA has sent him to judicial custody and promised strict action against offenders.

According to the DCA, the godown belongs to Kadari Sateesh Reddy of Aspen Biopharma, a habitual offender in several cases.
