Kangana’s remarks apparently came in response to former Punjab MP and chief of the Shiromani Akali Dal (Amritsar), Simranjit Singh Mann’s rape remark, where he reportedly said that the actress had “a lot of experience of rape.”
In the picture she shared, Kangana is seen in an action-packed avatar. A toppled burning car is visible in the backdrop. The actress is armed with a machine gun and a pistol.
Tweeting the news, Kangana Ranaut wrote: "To Jaya Amma, on her birth anniversary. Witness the story of the legend, #Thalaivi, in cinemas on 23rd April, 2021."
Many actresses have taken cue from their male counterparts and are working on one film at a time, which explains the time they get to work on such drastic transformation.
Ranaut said the yet-unnamed film is not a biopic of the only female Prime Minister of India and has also revealed that many prominent actors will be a part of the upcoming project.
