The MP raised the issue in Lok Sabha and wanted the Defense Ministry to explore other suitable location for setting up the radar station.

The experts are demanding that the government review its decision and convene a meeting with all sections to discuss the project’s impact.

The Minister said setting up the VLF station would aid the development of the region.

In fact setting up of the VLF station would aid development of the region. The Navy would establish health centres, schools, lay new roads and develop other amenities, said the Forest Minister.

Despite continuous engagement with the State government since 2010, the project faced delays in land allocation due to various pending issues.
