Malik, the 2018 Commonwealth Games gold-medallist, had qualified for the Tokyo Olympics in the 125kg category at the World Olympic Qualifier event in Sofia, Bulgaria.
The top two in each weight category are eligible for the Olympic quota place. In the 57kg final, the 19-year-old Anshu will face Mongolia's Khongorzul Boldsaikhan.
