The Enforcement Directorate on Friday carried out searches at seven locations in Hyderabad and Kadapa in connection with its money laundering probe linked to the 2019 murder of former minister and MP Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy.

Avinash Reddy, who filed his nomination as YSRCP candidate for the May 13 election, revealed the details of the case in the affidavit submitted to the election authorities.

In its order, the high court directed Y S Avinash Reddy not to tamper with evidence, not to leave the country, and to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) every Saturday.

The High Court granted the CBI's plea to submit the witness testimonies behind a sealed cover.
