Hyderabad: BRS Legislature Party deputy leader Talasani Srinivas Yadav on Tuesday accused the Congress government of failing to fulfil its promises, and alleged that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy was resorting to abusive language to cover up governance failures.
He was speaking after hoisting the National Flag and the BRS party flag and felicitating Telangana movement activists during Telangana State Formation Day celebrations organised at BK Guda Park in Sanath Nagar.
Srinivas Yadav said the Congress had come to power on several promises that were now being ignored. He alleged that whenever the government was questioned about the implementation of its assurances, the Chief Minister responded with threats and derogatory remarks, ignoring the dignity of the office.
He said BRS president K Chandrashekhar Rao had successfully led the Telangana statehood movement and later transformed the State through various welfare and development initiatives.
Questioning remarks made by Congress leaders against Chandrashekhar Rao, Srinivas Yadav said Telangana’s landmarks, including the Secretariat, Martyrs’ Memorial, Ambedkar statue, Command Control Centre, Yadadri Temple and Kaleshwaram project, stood as enduring symbols of his legacy.
He also accused the Congress government of failing to procure crops and provide basic support to farmers during the procurement season. Stating that farmers, unemployed youth and other sections of society were disillusioned with the government, he asserted that public dissatisfaction with the Congress administration was steadily increasing.
