Hyderabad: Telangana Prantha Upadhyaya Sangam (TPUS) on Thursday urged the State government to hold Badi Bata (admission drive) in government and local body schools in the month of June as at present most teachers are engaged in census work.
In a representation submitted Education department secretary Dr. Yogita Rana, TPUS president Vodnala Rajasekhar and general secretary Telkalapalli Pentayya sought implementation of the GO 190 and sought release of transfer schedule with promotions, fixing July 31 as the cut-off date.
The teachers association sought inclusion of autoimmune diseases under the preferential category in teacher transfers. It wanted teachers with 40 percent disability under PHC categories to be given transfer preferences.
Further, teachers appealed for revision of the GO 25 and called for measures to rationalize and strengthen government schools. They requested full 12-month salaries for DSC 2008 SGT contract teachers from the next academic year.
