Telangana: All set for inter first year exams from October 25
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education secretary Syed Omer Jaleel said 4,59,228 students were expected to appear for the examinations.

Hyderabad: Elaborate arrangements have been put in place for smooth conduct of the first year intermediate public exams for the second year students from October 25.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education secretary Syed Omer Jaleel said 4,59,228 students were expected to appear for the examinations which would be held till November 3.
“Earlier in March this year, the first year exams could not be held due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Students were promoted to second year but they were informed that first year exams would be held whenever the situation becomes conducive. Now they are being conducted from October 25. God forbid, if the situation is not favourable for holding inter exams in March next year, these first year marks may be considered for second year,” he said.
According to the TS BIE secretary, the first year question papers were prepared covering 70 per cent of the syllabus in each subject and more choices in question paper were given.
To maintain physical distancing in the exam centres in view of the Covid-19, a total of 1,768 centres were constituted across the State, he said, adding that students will be permitted into centre one hour before the scheduled exam time.
“Candidates have to fill their bio-data on the OMR sheets between 8.45 am and 9 am. Students reporting after 9 am will not be allowed into the examination hall,” he said.
Staff who have been fully vaccinated against the Covid -19 were deployed for conducting the exams, he said.
Isolation rooms have been arranged in all centres and
all benches, furniture, doors and windows in the centres would be sanitised, he said.
Students and staff must wear face masks, he said, adding that face masks were also arranged in the centres.
