Hyderabad: BRS MLA and former Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao strongly asserted his demand for an extended discussion to reply to the findings of the Justice PC Ghose Commission’s 650-page report on the Kaleshwaram Lift Irrigation Scheme. Rao insisted on a minimum of two hours to clarify the allegations made against the previous BRS government and to counter the Congress government’s narrative, particularly in response to remarks by Irrigation Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy.

He said he was prepared to discuss the report in detail for up to four days, emphasising the need for the public to know the facts. Rao highlighted the extensive nature of the Ghose Commission’s report stating that he was prepared to respond to every word of it.

Responding to Harish Rao’s contentions, Minister for Legislative Affairs D Sridhar Babu, intervened, urging Rao not to distract members and asserted that he was competent enough to respond to the Irrigation Minister’s remarks within half an hour. The Minister suggested that the discussion could be extended for four days or more even by the Irrigation Minister if needed.
