CPI (M) State committee member S Veeraiah addressing a press conference in Sangareddy on Monday.
Sanagreddy: The CPI (M) passed several resolutions during the third day of the four-day State Mahasabha being held in Sangareddy.
Addressing the media on Monday, State executive committee member S Veeraiah said they passed a resolution demanding the government to provide Rs 15 lakh under the Indiramma Housing Scheme since the Rs 5 lakh would not be sufficient to build a house.
The party also asked the government to provide house sites for the landless where they could build houses under the scheme. Veeraiah further said they demanded the government to provide three times the market value of land to farmers who were losing lands under the Regional Ring Road (RRR) and other projects following the 2013 Land Acquisition Act.
He further said that they asked the government to fix Rs 26,000 as minimum wage for employees working in industries since the existing Rs 11,000 would not be sufficient to meet the needs of workers.
The CPI (M) leader said they also passed a resolution demanding the Congress government to implement the Tenant Farmers Act to provide all the benefits to them. The party also asked the government not to demolish any houses built along the river Musi as part of the Musi River development project.
