Telangana: Electricity meter readers seek insurance facility

Hyderabad: Telangana State Electricity Meters Association on Friday urged the TS Transco to provide insurance facility to them considering the Covid-19 situation.
In a memorandum to the TS Transco Chairman and Managing Director D Prabhakar Rao, the Association State president D Sunil Kumar said meter readers were facing several problems because of Covid and urged him to provide insurance facilities to them.
He also requested the State government to pay ex-gratia to the bereaved family members of meter readers who died of Covid-19.
