Hyderabad: Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy of the Telangana High Court on Thursday granted time to the respondents to file their response in a writ petition seeking expeditious completion of the Suchitra–Kompally elevated corridor on National Highway-44.
The writ petition was filed by C. Snehith Reddy, a resident of Kompally, alleging prolonged delay in completion of the elevated corridor despite repeated extensions of the project timeline. The petitioner contended that the incomplete construction has resulted in severe traffic congestion, hazardous commuting conditions and frequent accidents, causing hardship to commuters and residents. The petitioner sought directions to the Union Government, the National Highways Authority of India and the State authorities to take immediate, concrete and time-bound steps to complete the project and improve safety measures on the stretch. When the matter came up for hearing, Justice B.
Vijaysen Reddy granted time to the respondent authorities to place their response on record and posted the matter for further hearing.
