Telangana: Intermediate exams to be monitored in real time via CCTV
The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education will monitor the Intermediate Public Examinations in real time this year using CCTV cameras integrated with a command control centre, covering 1,495 centres and nearly 10 lakh students, officials said

Hyderabad: Commencing this year, Intermediate Public Examinations (IPE) beginning February 25 will be monitored real-time. The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education that installed CCTV cameras in examination centres has integrated them to the command control centre set up at its office.
Each of 1,495 examination centres has been equipped with seven to eight CCTV cameras, including in chief superintendent room, corridor, main gate and rear side of the centres.
Through these cameras, command control centre will monitor whether or not question papers are opened on time and track arrival of latecomers besides ensuring that no mobile phone is carried inside the examination centre.
“In a first of its kind, the examinations will be monitored real time via the CCTV cameras that have been integrated to the command control centre set up at the Board”, S Krishna Aditya, Secretary TG BIE told ‘Telangana Today’.
Students will not be allowed to wear wristwatches and all centres will have wall clocks.
TG BIE Controller of Examinations Jayaprada Bai said hall tickets will be made available in the colleges login on Wednesday and hosted on the Board’s website from February 20. “A link to download the hall ticket will also be sent to the student’s registered mobile number. Hall tickets can also be obtained from MeeSeva centres,” she said.
A total of 9.96 lakh students registered for the examinations, which will be conducted from February 25 to March 18.
