Hyderabad: Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (NPDCL) Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) A Gopal Rao on Wednesday asked employees to adhere to Covid-19 safety protocols while attending to breakdowns and emergency services at the field-level during summer.
He advised employees to ensure power supply round-the-clock to all categories of consumers in the 17 districts under NPDCL limits. If consumers failed to collect the electricity bill, the staff concerned should wait for two days and forward the bill to the consumer using the TSSPDCL app through a unique service number.
Instead of standing in queues at counters to pay bills, consumers can utilise online services and help the department in containing the spread of the virus. For more information, consumers can call 18004250028 and 1912.
The department has issued guidelines to contain the spread of infection during the prevailing Covid second wave and to ensure a safe working environment at TSGenco.
Since uninterrupted power supply is an important necessity of the State in taking the combative measures for countering Covid, all preventive and regular maintenance activities should be continued to ensure 24×7 power supply to all categories of consumers at all power plants.
All generating stations must establish control rooms headed by respective Chief Engineers to take care of all unit side emergencies. The breakdown/emergency works should be attended taking all the preventive measures.
As the next few days are crucial, officials must plan and procure all the required material and spares in advance and may be kept available at all the stores to meet the requirement of 15 days.
In view of the prevalent situation, all the employees and family members should take necessary preventive measures as per the standard norms circulated by the government.
All executing agencies must maintain hygiene and sanitation facilities, at all offices and work sites.
The biometric attendance at the corporate office and other offices is dispensed with temporarily and attendance may be obtained in physical form until further orders. Thermal scanners were made available at all important offices and entry points to use compulsorily.
Meetings and seminars, if any, may be conducted virtually to avoid public gatherings. Visitors’ entry to offices will be restricted to maximum extent.
