Telangana received Rs.38,400 crore from Centre during last one year, says Bhatti
Responding to a query from BRS member K Kavitha during the Question Hour in the Legislative Council on Wednesday, Bhatti stated that the union government had released Rs. 28,171 crore under tax devolution, Rs. 2,819 crore through Finance Commission grants, Rs. 6,442 crore under centrally sponsored schemes, Rs. 518 crore as GST compensation, and Rs. 450 crore under special assistance for backward districts to the State.

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister and Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka informed that the State received a total central funds, including tax devolution and GST, to a tune of Rs. 38,400 crore during the last one year.
Replying to a query raised by BRS member K Kavitha during the Question Hour in the Legislative Council on Wednesday, Bhatti said the union government released Rs. 28,171 crore under tax devolution , Rs. 2,819 crore under the Finance Commission grants, Rs. 6,442 crore through centrally sponsored schemes, Rs. 518 crore as GST compensation andRs. 450 crore under special assistance for backward districts to the State.
The State government had allocated an amount of Rs. 15,168 crore in the State budget towards centrally sponsored schemes, he said adding that during the ten year tenure of BRS government the State received central funds to the tune of Rs. 2,53,113 crore.
Kavitha said the Niti Aayog had urged the centre to sanction Rs. 20,000 crore to take up works of Mission Kakatiya and Rs. 24,000 crore for Mission Bhagiratha, hence the State government should pursue the case and get the funds for the two programmes.
42,90,246 beneficiaries getting LPG subsidy: Uttam Kumar Reddy
Civil Supplies Minister N Uttam Kumar Reddy said that about 42,90,246 beneficiaries were getting LPG subsidy under the Mahalaxmi scheme.
Replying to a query raised by BRS member T Ravinder Rao, Uttam Kumar Reddy said the government had received 91,50,363 applications from the LPG consumers in Praja Palana programme for availing subsidy and as per the eligibility 42,90,246 beneficiaries were being provided the subsidy. The State government released Rs. 80 crore as subsidy during the financial year 2023-24 and Rs. 723.30 crore during financial year 2024-25.
