Hyderabad: In a move to enhance professional competencies of school teachers and education department officials by exposing them to global best practices, the School Education department has decided to send its staff on a global tour.
As part of an educational exchange programme, 160 participants will be sent to Singapore, Finland, Vietnam and Japan in the months of October and November 2025.
During the visit, teachers and education department officials will be exposed to various best practices being followed by host countries in school education. The same practices will be replicated in the state schools to enhance the quality of education.
For the programme, three best teachers from Zilla Parishad, Government Schools, Model Schools or TREIS institutions from each district will be selected by an expert committee headed by district collector. Nominations must include one teacher each from SGT/LP/PET/TGT or equivalent cadre, SA/PGT or equivalent and one headmaster or principal.
School Education department director Dr. E Naveen Nicolas asked the district collectors to hold teachers’ selection process with utmost fairness, transparency and adherence to the guidelines. The final list of selected teachers and headmasters or principals has to be sent to director.scert-ts@nic.in by October 23. Based on the nominations received from districts, the State-level expert committee will finalise the final selection list.
