Nagarkurnool: Three senior students were suspended on Wednesday from the Nagarkurnool Government Medical College for their alleged involvement in a ragging episode.
Following an inquiry, the anti-ragging committee confirmed that the three students identified as Lokesh, Harshavardhan, and Himavardhan were involved in the incident.
Initiating strict disciplinary action against them, the college authorities suspended Lokesh for three months from the college and the hostel.
Harshavardhan and Himavardhan were suspended for two months and one month respectively.
The college authorities had a meeting with the parents of students after the incident of ragging was reported recently.
The anti-ragging committee confirmed that a first-year student was subjected to ragging.
The college authorities assured parents that robust measures would be initiated to prevent such incidents in the future.
