Telangana woman rescuer saves jackal trapped in 30-ft well in Maharashtra
Santoshi Pradeep, a Telangana-based animal rescuer, travelled over 280 km to a Maharashtra village to rescue a jackal trapped in a 30-ft well. Her daring descent and successful rescue drew widespread appreciation from locals and animal lovers alike.

Sangareddy: In a daring and compassionate act, a woman animal rescuer from Telangana travelled over 280 km from Hyderabad to a village near Nanded in Maharashtra to rescue a jackal trapped in a 30-foot-deep abandoned well on Thursday.
The wild animal had been stuck in the well for three days, and local farmers, unable to find animal rescuers nearby, reached out to the Patancheru-based Animal Warriors Conservation Society (AWCS) after discovering their contact number online.
The AWCS team responded promptly.Led by Santoshi Pradeep, the team reached the remote village. Santoshi descended into the well using a rope while a cage was lowered. After an hour of effort, she managed to gently guide the frightened jackal into the cage, which was then pulled out safely .
As the jackal was found to be in good health, the team released it back into its natural habitat. The villagers, moved by the woman-led rescue operation, lauded the efforts of Santoshi and her team before they returned to Hyderabad, marking another successful rescue mission.
