Telugu NRIs hold candlelight vigil in Riyadh for Ahmedabad plane crash victims
The event reaffirmed the SATA Central’s commitment to fostering compassion, empathy and social responsibility among NRIs.

Riyadh: The Non-Resident Indian community in the Gulf is mourning the tragic crash of Air India flight in Gujarat, with tribute gatherings and condolence meetings taking place in different parts of the Gulf region.
Joining the mourning, the Telugu NRI community organisation, SATA Central (Saudi Arabia Telugu Association), held a candlelight vigil and tribute paying event on Saturday in Riyadh. The women wing leaders of the organisation, Akshita and Shilpa, expressed profound grief, stating, “our thoughts and prayers are with the families affected by this devastating tragedy”.
The event reaffirmed the SATA Central’s commitment to fostering compassion, empathy and social responsibility among NRIs, said its President G. Ananda Raju.
In the UAE, the NRI community observed a minute of silence at the Indian Consulate in Dubai earlier.
