Hyderabad: The much-awaited talks between the State government-appointed committee and the TGSRTC Joint Action Committee (JAC) ended without a breakthrough on Tuesday, paving the way for an indefinite RTC strike from midnight.

The meeting, held with representatives of RTC employees’ unions, saw participation from senior officials including Vikas Raj, Dana Kishore, Sandeep Sultania and TGSRTC Managing Director Y Nagi Reddy.

During the discussions, the committee urged unions to withdraw the strike and sought four weeks’ time to resolve the issues.

“The government is ready to address your concerns. Please give us four weeks and call off the strike,” Vikas Raj appealed.

However, the RTC JAC rejected the proposal, insisting on immediate action on key demands. With no agreement reached, the unions confirmed that the strike would commence at midnight.

Despite assurances from the committee that the government is willing to positively consider the demands, the unions remained firm, leading to the collapse of talks.

Public transport services across Telangana are likely to be affected if the strike continues.

Key demands of RTC employees:

*Merger of RTC with the state government
*Implementation of wage revision
*Resolution of pending service-related issues
